# Migrate your site to the new git-pages backed Codeberg Pages now. We're sunsetting Codeberg Pages v2

> Codeberg announces that Codeberg Pages v2, its unmaintained in-house static site hosting, will be shut off completely on 31 December 2026. Users who never set up a webhook are still on v2 and must migrate to the git-pages backed Codeberg Pages before then, using the Migration Guide and the Migration Check Tool.

For many years, Codeberg Pages v2, our in-house solution, served as a way for hosting project pages through *your\_codeberg\_username*.codeberg.page or custom domains. This project has been unmaintained for a longer time now, and we already have git-pages as a replacement to power Codeberg Pages. A lot of users already migrated - and now it is time for you to also make the switch, if you have not done already.

## Codeberg Pages v2 will be shut off completely on **2026-12-31**

On that date, for users who are still relying on the old way of hosting sites through Codeberg Pages v2 (which is the case for users who never set up a webhook in their repository), the content will not be served anymore.

**Before that date make sure to migrate.**

We already have instructions how to do so. So please refer to our [Migration Guide](https://docs.codeberg.org/codeberg-pages/migrating-from-pages-v2/) for migrating.

## Unsure if you are on git-pages?

If you do not remember whether you migrated or not, you can test yourself by using our [Migration Check Tool](https://codeberg.page/migration-check/). Just paste an URL and get a definite answer.
