# oai-math-revised: a community hub for revising OpenAI’s math write-ups

> A guest post on Terence Tao's blog by Abhinav Nellore, Johannes Schmitt, Soledad Villar and Rachel Ward announcing oai-math-revised, an open community GitHub effort to make OpenAI's published math write-ups easier to understand and better cited, and inviting mathematicians at every level to contribute and review.

*[This is a guest post by [Abhinav Nellore](https://www.ohsu.edu/people/abhinav-nellore-phd), [Johannes Schmitt](https://johannesschmitt.gitlab.io/), [Soledad Villar](https://www.ams.jhu.edu/villar/), and [Rachel Ward](https://oden.utexas.edu/people/directory/rachel--ward/) – T.]*

OpenAI’s math write-ups at <https://github.com/openai/math> can be difficult to understand and can have incomplete citations.

[https://github.com/mathcommunity/oai-math-revised/](https://github.com/mathcommunity/oai-math-revised/ ) seeks to be an inclusive effort to improve these write-ups, and the broader math community–students, postdocs, professors, and enthusiasts–is invited to participate.

The repo is browsable at <https://mathcommunity.github.io/oai-math-revised/>

We also invite the community to email the project admins (contact address on the original post) if they want to serve as admins/reviewers and for which categories from <https://github.com/openai/math/blob/main/overview.pdf> they’d be appropriate for reviews.
