Union Alpha is now available on StudyArena. You can select it in chat or compare its answers with other models in the arena. It is also included in random comparisons.
Union Alpha is a stealth model. Its developer has chosen to remain anonymous during the preview. OpenRouter provides access to it, but is not its developer. We list its provider as “Provider undisclosed.”[1]
The model accepts text and images and responds with text. You can ask it to explain a graph, check a calculation, review a piece of code, or work through a question from your notes.
OpenRouter lists a context window of 262,144 tokens and a maximum output of 131,072 tokens. Those are the model's published limits. StudyArena applies its own limits to individual requests. The model also supports tools. We verified a text response and a calculator call through our integration before enabling it.[2]
Union Alpha has one entry in our model list. OpenRouter does not currently offer configurable reasoning levels for it. Ordinary tool use is enabled on StudyArena. Our research mode is not enabled for this model yet.
The useful next step is to compare its answers. Ask a question you understand well enough to judge. Look for a correct answer, a clear explanation, and support for any factual claims. In a blind arena comparison, you vote before seeing the model names. Union Alpha can receive votes and appear in the rankings under the same rules as other eligible models.
There are two details to know about the preview. OpenRouter currently lists input and output tokens at zero cost; that is its provider pricing, and StudyArena's account limits still apply. The model page also says the provider may retain prompts and completions, but does not use them for training.[1][2]
If the developer is disclosed later, we can update the name and attribution while keeping Union Alpha's existing comparison history. Stealth previews can also change or be withdrawn.
